Hoping to get full time work soon.

Actually I think I’d really like the job I interviewed for yesterday. It sounds like it would be interesting, challenging, and rewarding. Plus it would make my mommy happy to see me in the healthcare field. lol Is it wrong that I already have ideas about what I would do in that position? lol

Not much else is going on right now.  I scrapped the other night. Made a card and an altered item (piggy bank).  Haven’t taken any pictures of them. Probably won’t either. Don’t feel like it. One is boyish and the other is too plain. lol Well, I should get going.

Wow! Seems almost like we have been here forever. In a good way.  We both really like it here. It feels like home. Feels weird to say that but it’s how I feel here, and I don’t even feel that way in the town I grew up in. It’s that comfortable, favourite pair of shoes feeling. I can’t explain it very well. lol It just feels like I was meant to be here.

Started my new job today. It went well. Need to get back into suggestive selling. It’s been so long since I worked retail, but I have always liked it. The ladies I work with/for are very nice. Emily, the link is in the side bar under “Scrapbook Stores”. It’s the only one there. I think I’ll like it there. I might end up doing kids birthday parties. Hummm… Need to think about that one a bit. Maybe if I can think of a few ideas for little projects to do with them I’ll jump in and say yes to that one.

I went to apply for another part time job at a flower shop and the lady told me that she had already filled it. I was sad as I’d love to work in a flower shop, at least once, but she asked if she could put me on her call list for busy seasons so I said sure. Can’t hurt, might help.

Trying to find a more permanent place to live and another job or two. What ever it takes. I need to call the man I interviewed with last week. I have a plan that will make taking that position doable, if it is still available next summer.  I can take the training while DD is at her dad’s for a month. She doesn’t want to go for a month but she might not have a choice in the matter unless she gets a summer job. She does think she should be able to come with me when I go for this training. lol I don’t! lol I think I’d get a lot more done without her. No offense intended, she’s just really distracting (in a good way).

My DD has been so lovey dovey since we moved her. Seems weird but I’m enjoying having her say she loves me more. Even if she is saying it because she has done/ is doing something she knows will make me grouchy. lol And I am also enjoying more hugs and kisses. Shh! Don’t tell her or she might quit. lol Mwah! Love ya hun!

Well, I have a ton of stuff to do so I should get going. TTYL

Yeah! We made it. I had a job interview on Friday. I think it went well, and I spoke to the owners of the LSS as they have a position coming open. Not to mention the dozen or so other applications I sent out.

For now we are staying with a friend in their 2 bedroom. DD and I are sharing. Their lease is up at the end of Oct and we will all move into a 3 bedroom then. Will be nice to have some room to stretch again. lol Well that and scrap. Not to mention that I’m not fond of sharing with DD. lol She’s too messy.

Well, I should get going. TTYL

I really can’t wait to get there. We should get there about 1 or 2 their time on Saturday. Of course Saskatchewan has that silly time that never changes, just to confuse me. lol I still can never remember what time it is there. My sister lived there for several years and would laugh every time I asked her what time it was. But it has a plus too, no losing an hour of sleep and having to reset your internal clock. I think I just might like that part.

Still working out a few things about the move but we are very excited. Not that you could tell by looking at our house. In fact you wouldn’t think we were moving at all. Yikes!

Tomorrow we take the cats to my mom’s. We gave them canned food (a treat) tonight to remind them that we love them. I miss them already and they are still here.

Friday we are invited to my friend Kat’s for a going away dinner. Yum. Well, maybe. I’m not all that fond of her cooking. It’s not that she’s a bad cook, just likes weird stuff. lol And LOTS of garlic, which doesn’t agree with me anymore.

Well,  since I took a 3.5 hour nap earlier tonight I thought I wouldn’t be tired but I am. I woke up at 5 am this morning with my mind running around in circles and couldn’t get back to sleep. Finally start to fall back to sleep, my alarm clock rings. Sigh! Heading to bed as soon as I finish this post.

Hoping everybody has a good night. And I’ll see you when I have internet again. Unless you belong to one of “my” sites then I’ll see you a couple more times before the move. But I probably won’t blog until after.

Hello! Well, it’s still September 1st to me, cause I haven’t slept yet today but the clock says it’s the 2nd. Oh, well. Heading to bed soon to try again. DD isn’t sleeping well tonight either. She has a leg ache. Poor kid!

I’m moving! I can’t believe I’m doing it. It seems like I’ve been trying to get out of this burg forever. Heading West. Woohoo! Can’t wait. We leave next weekend. Lots of driving but it’s all good. Ahhh…. a fresh start. Might just be what the doctor ordered (so to speak). It feels right.

What will I be doing when I get there, you ask? Good question. lol I guess I figure it out when I get there. I have some applications out and hope to find something really soon. Or I could be in big trouble. Haven’t told DD yet that it might be a bit before I get the cable and internet hooked up. Hoping not too long. I hate withdrawals. lol Need internet! Okay, so we are both a little hooked on the internet.

I haven’t scrapped all summer. I have made the odd card but not enough to say I did anything. Haven’t had much mojo. Hope it comes back with the move. We’ll be taking our stuff there in a couple trips and a healthy portion of scrap supplies is coming in the first load. Can’t be stuck someplace with absolutely nothing to do. lol I’ll have to borrow some books from my mom too. Well, I’ll trade her a stack of mine for a stack of hers and bring them back the next time I see her. It’s all good. And it certainly makes paying full price for books not that bad if you have somebody to share them with. I never seem to make it to the second hand book store and when I do I seldom find anything I want to read but man, the good stuff my mom comes back with… Glad she shares. lol Mind you I buy the ones her second hand store never has so I bet she’s glad I share too. Oh, and my Auntie Lil. She’s my step Aunt but you would never know it by the way she treats me. Love her to pieces. I love that my step family treats me like one of them. Heck, sometimes I feel more a part of their family than mine.

A week and a half. It’s going to be a long time. DD’s friend is throwing her a going away party. Isn’t that nice? I’m so happy that she found good friends. A little sad that we are leaving them behind. And Katelyn if you ever stumble upon this, DD is not allowed to live in your closet, or under your bed, or on your ceiling. lol You nut!

Well, I should go back to bed. Night all!

I’m in such a good mood today. No real reason for it, just happy.

Kirsten will be happy to know that I got a picture of my new jacket and will be posting it later today, at SNC.

Today, I’m grateful for old friends and new ones too. I’m grateful for summer students that I can leave alone and not worry about. Just in the mood for that kind of thing today. Oh, and I’m grateful for a sunny day as my last holiday day.

That’s all I have right now. lol

Sorry faithful followers. I’ve been busy at work and spending time with my family.

Gee, what’s new? Not much actually. How sad is it that I haven’t updated my blog in over a month and yet I have nothing to say.  I’m coming up to a couple really tiring weeks at work. My students are done Sunday. But I still have 2 more days off. Ahh….

Artemis’s party tomorrow. Need something for the pot luck portion. Not sure what to bring. Any ideas?

Lots to do around home these days too. Need to pack and clean. And maybe tell some important people that I’ve decided to move. Do you really think my mom will care? Yikes! Better get on that. First – find new house so I have an address to give them. Continue looking for new job. Enroll DD in new school. How exciting! And a little scary. Change is good though, right? Yup, it is!

Well, I didn’t win the card contest, post below. But my card was one of their favourites. I’m so happy about that. Gotta start entering more contests and maybe getting brave and submitting stuff for publication.

Hi! Happy Father’s Day to any men who might read my blog. Hmm… I think they may be few and far between. lol

Went to see my Dad today, but he wasn’t home.

I know that Donna wants some more paper LOs but they are just not on my computer at the moment. I have done one and a bunch of cards. I want to share a digi LO of my cousin and her little one. Miss her so much! It might not stay up for long, just long enough for her to see it. :)

Been busy at work. Haven’t been very chatty lately. I know, hard to believe, isn’t it? lol

Oh, I snuck this digi LO in when Donna wasn’t looking. (I guess I better get that paper stuff uploaded. Yikes!) This was made with Scrap Shana’s Daytripper kit. I love the colours! And it was so fun to work with.
